The University of Kansas recently celebrated the work of students in Crawford County who are in the top 10 percent of their class. This included Frontenac High School students Kasey Dixon, Lauren Eagon, Brandon Mlekus, Maggie Murray, Bralyn Wilson, and Kieran Wilson. The students were recognized for their academic achievements and as Kansas Honor Scholars at a dinner at Memorial Auditorium.
The program has been in place since 1971 and has honored approximately 125,000 students.
At the dinner, students were presented with a Webster’s New College Dictionary, and heard a presentation from KU Director of Administration, and Pittsburg High School graduate, Lisa Pinamonti Kress.
