Art in math

My students constructed a variety of tile patterns while learning geometric terms like flips, slides, and symmetry. This hands-on art/math lesson was taught by Madison Borghner, a PSU pre-lab in the College of Education. Students viewed examples of tesselations done by artist M.C. Escher and then applied what they had learned. It was a great lesson in spatial awareness.
