Fifth Grade Tea set for Thursday

By Andra Stefanoni

May 19, 2008

Fifth grade families are  invited to attend the 5th Grade Tea on Thursday at 8:30 a.m. in the Auxillary Gym. PTO will furnish cookies and punch.

There will be a video shown of the fifth graders this year, and students will receive their FHS lanyards. The tea is expected to last an hour; at 9:45 students will board the buses to go to the movies at the mall.

According to Debbie Restivo, fifth grade teacher, this is the first such tea at Frontenac and one that she hopes will become a tradition.

"The purpose is to recognize students' moving on to the junior high," she said. "It's not really a graduation, just an acknowledgement of the end of elementary school and the beginning of junior high."
