6th Grade "Day at the Museum"

It was a day at the museum for Frontenac Junior High students, who were able to see historical people come to life in the 6th Grade "Living Timeline." Students from Mrs. Morris' 6th Grade social studies classes researched historical people from the civilizations that they had studied throughout the year and wrote a one-page research paper as a result. Then they prepared a short speech to be performed in the first-person point-of-view along the "Living Timeline" in the auxiliary gym on May 18. There was a wide variety of people ranging from a farmer of Catal Huyuk, one of the world's earliest communities, to Elizabeth I, one of the world's most influential female leaders. This was the first annual event that Mrs. Morris hopes to continue for years to come. Make sure to view all of the pictures available by clicking on the picture to the right of this article.
