Homework Club

by Lauren Eagon, Junior Raider Reporter/Frank Layden Elementary

January 11, 2010

There is a wonderful thing happening this year at FLE for the 4th and 5th graders. This is called Homework club and it is from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m. in the Elementary library.  According to Andrea Merrick, “There are about 25 to 30 kids coming here.”  Mrs. Merrick also said that, “Homework club helps kids get their work done on time.”
Why do teachers do this you might ask? Well they do it to help kids with their homework of course, and they have been doing it very successfully for the last year.  Parents, you might worry about your kids talking the whole time, but don’t because there are teachers there making sure they do their work.
