Frank Layden prepared students for the State Assessments with a pep rally on Thursday, Feb. 18. Championship Week was the week of Feb. 15-Feb. 18. Students dressed up for each day of the week and ended with a pep rally on Thursday. Monday was shades day. Tuesday was Team day. Wednesday was Hat day. Thursday was Dress for Success Day.

At the rally, Mark Allai, FLE principal, lead the students in the chant "do your best!" FLE faculty did the Frontenac shuffle, a shuffle with an encouraging chant. Then, Queen's We Will Rock You came blasting though the speakers. Faculty began to dance to the song in groups. Allai lead the dance. This out-of-the-ordinary pep assembly was to get students ready for state assessments in a different way. The rally allowed students and teachers to have fun before beginning the tests later in the month.
