Native American projects

by Lexi Heckagon, Junior Raider Reporter/Frank Layden Elementary
January 11, 2010

Corey Martin’s fifth grade class got to go down to Renee Gillard’s classroom and do a Native American project with the kindergarteners. According to Mrs. Martin, “The fifth graders brought down the crayons, glue, and scissors.” Once the fifth graders got to Mrs. Gillard’s classroom, Mrs. Martin handed out the Indian papers. Each fifth grader paired with a kindergartener and colored the Indians, cut them out, glued them to a sheet of paper, and colored the background. The fifth graders did this just to have fun with the kindergarteners.
