Friday, April 28, 20 Students from the High School Music Department headed to Junction City/Chapman Kansas area for the KSHSAA State Solo and Small Ensemble Festival-Contest. Students were treated to a dinner at “Negril Caribbean” Restaurant, then swimming at the Hotel swimming pool. Saturday morning began by loading the bus in the rain at 7:00am. The bus made its way to Chapman High School where the students performed for various judges throughout the day. For these students to have the opportunity to perform at the State Music Festival-Contest, they had to receive a rating of a I at the Regional Music Festival-Contest earlier in April. The following are the results of this day.
