The Boys of Fall
As of October 31st, the Frontenac High School football team is 9-0. The season so far for our boys of fall has been extremely successful. They have played teams from around the state and are looking forward to more success as playoff games continue.
Serving It Up!
The volleyball girls had an amazing season this year. For the third year in a row, the Lady Raiders won the sub-state tournament and represented Frontenac at the state tournament. Amazing job, ladies!
Going the Distance
The cross-country team had lots of success this year. While each runner had outstanding achievements, one student represented FHS extremely well. Easton King (JR) placed 10th at regionals and advanced to STATE! What an awesome season!
The girls’ golf season has just ended. The season overall has been outstanding for the golfers. They placed at almost every tournament, and now hold the CNC League Title for 2019. Additionally, four players were designated as all-league players: Brianna Green, Autumn Bryant, Kiera Threlfall, and MacKenzie Hensley. Only ten players are chosen each year, and Frontenac represented four of those spots. The team qualified for state at the regional tournament. The two-day tournament was very difficult, but the Raider Golfers left satisfied with their season!
This year, FHS Debate has attended two tournaments: Fort Scott and Pittsburg. At both of these tournaments, the team has seen quite of bit of success. At Fort Scott, Kennedy Allen and Hannah Eckstein placed 6th in varsity. At Pittsburg, many teams placed. Bree Maxwell and Austin Duval placed 6th in Novice, Alexis Leonard and Emily Goddard placed 8th in JV, Angel Chamberlain and Emily Todd placed 8th in Varsity, and Kennedy Allen and Hannah Eckstein placed 5th in varsity. The varsity teams are currently working their way to the regional tournament, held this December.
