Southeast Kansas runners advance to state cross country meet

Athletes from Southeast Kansas fared well at regional cross country meets on Saturday. As a result, the area will be well represented at the state’s cross country championships. At the regional meets, the top 10 individuals and top three teams in each race advanced. Raiders and Panthers crowned sub-state champs

The Frontenac and St. Mary’s-Colgan High School volleyball teams earned spots in the state tournament by winning the sub-state championship on Saturday. RAIDERS CLAIM SUB-STATE TITLE It was an up-and-down season for the Frontenac Raiders, but they defended their home court and came away with a pair of sweeps over Galena and Baxter to win the sub-state title.   Continue reading in the Morning Sun
